At the request of Five Seasons Transportation and Parking in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, RLBA studied the feasibility of restoring passenger rail services between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, Iowa. RLBA conducted several engineering assessments involving the physical condition of the existing rail infrastructure and various equipment options including soy-based diesel power units. The firm also considered alternative passenger service options - acting as a liaison between the local regional railroad companies and various cities between and including Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
