Davidson A. Ward,
Transportation Analyst
Davidson Ward has worked on passenger, freight, transit and infrastructure assignments since joining RLBA. A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota, Ward brings strengths in digital cartographical skills, graphic design, architecture, master planning and critical analysis to RLBA. Since joining the firm, he has had a direct hand in completing NEPA-related surveying, alternatives analysis with regards to LRT corridors, analytical engineering analysis in the context of litigation support, preliminary intermodal station design, formulation of a detailed Awards Fee Employee Incentive program with regards to passenger rail employees as well as freight railcar lease negotiations. Fluent in German, Ward pursued studies at the Technical University of Braunscheig, Germany to receive technical training unavailable in the United States. Academic research at the University of Minnesota included co-leading a master plan redesign of the Mississippi River through Minneapolis and an independent study of rail terminals in Europe with regards to intermodal connectivity, population density, transit ridership and forecasting American High Speed Rail use. Ward has also been published in Trains magazine with articles relating to railroad preservation.
