Lines of Business - Short Line and Regional Railroads

On numerous business plan development projects, RLBA has worked with industrial clients and entrepreneurs to build and express comprehensive and consistent sets of assumptions and unit factors which accurately depict their railroad business prospects, before both corporate managements/boards and would-be lenders. In many "due diligence" studies, RLBA has provided viability opinions based on experience gleaned from the successful conclusion of dozens of similar studies and decades of staff employment at several rail carriers. RLBA also has appraised locomotives and rolling stock, and estimated the value of short line and regional railroad enterprises or parts thereof as going concerns, as liquidated assets, or for sale to neighboring carriers. Finally, RLBA has developed remedial strategies for short line and regional railroads which have experienced unacceptable financial performance.
